WEEKEND: 5.16.14

I'm writing this blog post in the most uncomfortable position: sitting on the couch, cat on my lap (where the laptop computer should go) and my left arm is reaching all the way to the right to type on the computer, which is resting on the arm of the couch. On the plus side, the TV is currently tuned to the "Thowback Jamz" channel and Maxi Priest is singing, "I just wanna be close to you..." That is hitting home for me right now. Thanks, Margot.

I did a lot of weeding this weekend. On Friday evening after tackling a small area in the front yard, I came in the house to wash up for dinner and was greeted by a Knickerbocker cocktail, a combo of vermouths and gin. You can tell by the condensation that we also have been having great weather around here.
The Spokane River is raging right now and we're loving the views.

They had pony rides in the park!

A classic car show was also underway on Spokane Falls Boulevard; a sort of prelude to the Torchlight Parade that evening.

 An iconic Spokane shot.
I love how many people ride these little trolleys through the park. Spokane!
