WEEKEND: Oct. 18








On Thursday and Friday mornings, my drive to work was dark and foggy. I kind of liked it.

Over the summer, our friend Monique put a bunch of fruit in jars and filled them with vodka. On Saturday night, we tasted each macerated masterpiece and made fancy drinks out of them. Quite fun.

I made a savory feta and olive loaf to bring to Saturday night's party. Yum. I'll post the recipe later this week.

Faced with another gorgeous day, we spent a good portion of it at Greenbluff, standing in line for a fresh pumpkin donut at Harvest House. We killed time in line by drinking hot caramel apple cider. It was rough.
