Fun little slippers

A few weeks ago I remembered the concept of slippers. We had a lovely, warm summer and I sloughed around the house in flip flops or barefoot, mostly. But now I'm digging out my warmest socks, long underwear, and mukluks. Even the cat is burying herself under the covers every night, waking me up by pressing her cold paws against my arm.

Slippers, therefore, are in order. I've made sets from this pattern a couple times before, and I love how quickly they come together and that they don't require much yarn. It's what knitting nerds might call a stash-buster.

You can knit the main foot covering over the course of a romantic comedy, the i-cord edging by halftime of a Seahawks game, and the strap within one episode of Parks and Recreation if you fast-forward through all the commercials. Repeat for the second one. Take some walks in between. Find the pattern via the Purl Bee here.
