It was a wonderfully cold weekend, the coldest of the year. On Friday we saw an Italian movie (La Grande Bellezza) at the Magic Lantern Theater and the 2 blocks' walk back to the car felt like miles. The drive was short enough for the car to never warm up, which is a blessing...? I was too cold to talk, which was good because we did all our movie discussion over dinner (in the same building as the theater) (Joel loved it, I wasn't as wild about it, except for the Rome-centric cinematography and the lovable main character).
I ventured out for a Christmas-related errand on Saturday and just once more for dinner ingredients (a gigantic pot of lentil soup), but the rest of the weekend was spent completely indoors. Banana pancakes, a roaring fire, knitting my way through a Modern Family marathon, a few chores, a bunch of writing work, a bummer of a Seahawks game; it all kept me quite content.
Oh, and then there was "Catnip Saturday."
