Summer Journal: Week 2

We were inspired to visit our favorite (and only) Italian grocery store for the prosciutto on top. Yum.

Saturday flights: Spokane>Minneapolis (above)>Detroit>Burlington, Vermont.

Eating at Al's French Frys (not a spelling error), a Burlington institution, so they say. Just down the street from my Holiday Inn.
Creemees were a wonderful addition to my already-heathy diet this week.

Pumpernickel bagel and a weekly paper on a Sunday morning.
From the Holiday Inn to a dorm room. I came to Vermont for a conference, but the faculty promised it would be like summer camp. It totally was.
A pretty door I found. I would love to live at 111.
Lunch at Leunig's Bistro. I was back in Paris in the heart of Burlington.

Wish I could have checked out the Whiskey Room. Looks sophisticated.
 Lake Champlain!

 Pedestrians on Church Street.
At the University of Vermont (where my conference was...though not in this stately building)
Abandoned tracks near the water.
