Things I learned:
- When a hairstylist has cute hair, it doesn't necessarily translate to her own abilities.
- Be very specific about what you want it to look like, especially if you're going to a new hairstylist.
- It's okay to go back to get it fixed, even if it means going to someone else.
Are those tears in my eyes? |
This picture was taken during those awkward first days when you're getting used to having 60% less hair to shampoo, condition, blow-dry and style. Since then, I've found a better way to part and style it so that it looks a little less limp and blah. It's grown on me.
It's also about now when I really start to miss my longer hair and forget about how annoying it was to dry every morning, how much time it took to curl it, and how much work it took to keep it looking good all day - an effort I rarely bothered to make. But wasn't it cute?
The before shot (from July). I look a little regretful here, too, I guess. |
Here's to the next 11 months!
